Mourning for Fritz Bauer

It is with deep sorrow that the promotional product industry mourns the loss of the Vienna based promotional product entrepreneur and official Friedrich “Fritz” Bauer. The founder and long-time president and honorary president of the Austrian Association of Promotional Product Distributors (VÖW), former president of IPPAG (Int. Partnership for Premiums and Gifts) as well as long-time managing director of Mitraco Geschenkartikelvertriebs GmbH, died on 9 November at the age of 80. He dedicated almost his entire professional life to the promotional product trade which he represented in an unmistakable, exemplary manner, always with competence, strong communication skills and full of sympathy in all its facets, both in Austria and on the international stage. During his long and successful career, he acquired the reputation of a doyen of the industry – not least due to his charming and likeable manner. In accordance with the wishes of his family, the funeral service was attended by a small circle of family and friends. The editorial staff of the PSI Journal – also on behalf of the PSI as well as its members – condoles with all relatives, friends and companions of Fritz Bauer.
